Gary Barker

Gary Barker, PhD has extensive experience in promoting gender equity and reducing violence against children, youth, and women. With a background in child and adolescent development, public policy, and journalism, Gary has held various leadership roles in organizations such as Equimundo, Instituto Promundo, and International Center for Research on Women. Gary has coordinated research projects, directed gender-based violence prevention initiatives, and provided technical assistance in youth services and health education. Gary's work has involved projects in Brazil, Central America, Mexico, Eastern Europe, Asia, and Africa, focusing on engaging youth in violence prevention and promoting gender equality.
