James Scott's work experience includes various roles in risk management. James started in 2011 as an Operational Control Manager at Barclays, where they later became an Operational Risk Manager and a Payment Risk Manager. In 2014, they joined Investec as the Head of Retail Operational Risk, providing risk support to the retail business units. James then worked as a Senior Risk Management Consultant at Alcentra, where they designed and developed the Risk Management Framework. In 2019, they served as a Senior Risk Management Consultant at Pay.UK and later as the Head of Risk at UBP - Union Bancaire Privée's London branch. Their most recent role is as the Head of Enterprise Risk at Wyelands Bank. In their different positions, they have been responsible for various risk management disciplines, including investment risk, operational risk, market risk, credit risk, liquidity, and systemic risk.

James Scott completed a Level 3 Certificate in Securities from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI) in 2015. Prior to this, they obtained a Professional Diploma in Banking Practice and Management (PDipBPM) from LIBF in 2014. James holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, with a focus on Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology, from Durham University, which they completed in 2011.
