David Xavier is a Principal Petrophysicist at Equinor, bringing 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a specialization in formation evaluation, wellbore placement, and operations geology for both carbonate and siliciclastic reservoirs. Previously, they held positions at Halliburton and Weatherford, focusing on petrophysical support and data acquisition in major Brazilian sedimentary basins, as well as providing real-time operational support in the Gulf of Mexico. David is actively involved as Secretary of the SPWLA Brazil Chapter, contributing to local initiatives and organizing events such as the 65th SPWLA Symposium. David earned a BSc in Geology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
