Dawn Summers

Dawn Summers is an accomplished leader in the energy sector with extensive experience in various executive roles. Currently serving as a Non Executive Director at Equinor since September 2025, Summers previously held significant positions such as President of the European Board at IOGP and President of GasNaturally from January 2021 to November 2024. From May 2020 to September 2024, Summers was the Chief Operating Officer and Board member at Wintershall Dea, where the focus was on sustainable energy solutions. Additional leadership roles include Chief Operating Officer at Beach Energy Ltd and Origin Energy, as well as Head of HSE, Operations & Developments at Genel Energy PLC. Summers's career began at bp, where a variety of roles were undertaken, including Global Vice President of the Production Division and involvement in the BP Macondo Response Project. Educated at Edinburgh University with a BEng Hons in Chemical Engineering and further honed leadership skills through Executive Education at MIT Sloan School of Management, Summers combines technical expertise with strategic oversight in the energy industry.
