Isak Karstad

Isak Karstad is a professional with extensive experience in energy management, project finance, and sales trading in the carbon and renewable energy sectors. Currently serving as a Commodity Sales Trader Carbon and Portfolio Manager at SCB Group since May 2021, Isak manages carbon neutral cargos, energy attribute certificates, and renewable gases. Prior experience includes a role in project finance for shipping at European Maritime Finance, summer internships at DNB focused on depot retail and customer service, and various positions in sales and analysis at multiple companies. Isak holds multiple relevant degrees in energy management, including a Master's degree from East China Normal University and an MSc in Energy Management from Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Additionally, Isak has a strong foundation in leadership demonstrated through roles as Co-Founder and General Manager of a cycling team and as President of a student organization.
