Katherine Beltrán Jiménez

Katherine Beltrán Jiménez is a seasoned engineering professional specializing in drilling and wells, currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Equinor since June 2023, focusing on well intervention projects in the Heidrun, Snorre A, and Johan Svedrup fields. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Researcher and Research Scientist at NORCE Norwegian Research Centre, where Katherine contributed to well operations and abandonment activities. Additional expertise stems from positions at Genesis do Brasil as a Drilling & Completion Consultant, EQUION ENERGIA LIMITED as a Well Site Leader Supervisor Assistant, and various research roles contributing to significant engineering projects. Katherine holds a PhD in Petroleum Technology from the University of Stavanger and an extensive educational background in petroleum engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
