Kingsley Sawyerr

Kingsley Sawyerr is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas sector. Currently serving as Lead Legal Counsel at Equinor since October 2017, Kingsley manages a broad range of legal and compliance issues, offering advisory services related to transactions with various stakeholders. Prior roles include Lead Legal Counsel at Statoil and Manager of Contracts, Legal Services & Company Secretary at Nigdel United Oil Company Limited, where responsibilities spanned legal strategy and joint ventures management. Kingsley has also held senior positions in legal services and public-private partnerships within the Bayelsa State Government. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Petroleum & Energy Law from the University of Dundee and ongoing studies in Contract Law at Harvard University.
