Lars Rønning

Lars Rønning is a seasoned professional in the field of naval architecture and offshore engineering, currently serving as Senior Manager of Facilities and Operations Support at Equinor since May 2018. In this role, Lars leads a team of facilities engineers, focusing on career development and strategic objectives for oil, gas, low-carbon, and renewable energy projects. Previous positions include Principal Engineer at Statoil, where Lars worked on offshore field development, and a Facilities Engineer on secondment at Chevron, contributing to the Big Foot TLP project. Lars has extensive experience spanning over two decades, holding various leadership and technical roles across prominent organizations, including Aker Solutions and ConocoPhillips, and is an active member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers. Education includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of British Columbia.
