Morten Heggernes is a seasoned professional in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as Sr Manager Digital Project and Innovation at Equinor since August 2019, where responsibilities include leading digital technology development for facilities and operations, as well as managing project portfolios from R&D to operational implementation. Morten Heggernes has also held various managerial positions within Equinor, including Constituted Manager of Operational Improvement and Digital Portfolio Manager for Operations, Maintenance & Modifications. Before joining Equinor, Morten Heggernes gained extensive experience at Statoil, beginning as a Drilling Engineer and advancing through roles such as Lead Drilling Engineer and Drilling Superintendent, with a significant focus on exploration drilling in the UK. Prior positions at StatoilHydro and Odfjell Drilling further demonstrate a strong expertise in drilling engineering.
