Nick Benson

Nick Benson is a highly experienced professional in the drilling and well delivery sector with a career spanning over 25 years. Currently serving as a Principal Researcher for Carbon Capture and Storage (TDI) and as a Principal Drilling Engineer in the Digital Well Delivery group at Equinor since January 2019, Nick has developed software solutions for drilling and well activities. Previously, Nick worked as a drilling engineer for the Rosebank Asset in the West of Shetland. Prior experience includes a tenure as a Senior Drilling Engineer at Chevron, where expertise in planning and operations on platforms and MODU was gained. Additional roles include Drilling Engineer positions at Fraser Offshore Ltd and Smith/Schlumberger, along with earlier experience at Smith International, M-I SWACO, and Baker Hughes INTEQ. Nick Benson holds a BSc Hons from The Manchester Metropolitan University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Information Systems from Robert Gordon University.
