Peter Smits

Peter Smits is a Senior Technology Manager at Equinor, with a rich background in petroleum technology and engineering. They held various leadership roles, including Vice President of Petroleum Technology and Vice President of Drilling and Well Technology, contributing significantly to the field from 2018 to 2020. Prior to joining Equinor, Peter gained extensive experience at Statoil, where they served as a Senior Well Engineer and held multiple roles from 2009 to 2011. They also completed a Master’s degree and Bachelor’s degree at Delft University of Technology from 2000 to 2008.
