Tekena Jim-George is an experienced subsea pipeline engineer currently working at Equinor on the CO2 Highway Europe project, focusing on large-scale CO2 transport from European emitters to storage in the NCS. Prior roles include project engineer for the Empire Wind project and graduate subsea engineer for the Johan Castberg project at Equinor. Tekena also serves as a board member at the Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK), promoting diversity in engineering. Previous experiences include a communications and investor relations internship at EnQuest, subsea structures and riser engineering at FEDDO GROUP, and structural engineering internships at Arup and the National Engineering and Technical Company. Tekena holds a Master’s degree in Global Subsea Engineering from the University of Aberdeen and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil/Structural Engineering from Covenant University.
