Georgina Blanco Mancilla

Georgina Blanco Mancilla, PhD has extensive experience in the mining industry, with a focus on external affairs, social responsibility, and sustainability. Georgina is currently serving as the Vice President of External Affairs and Social Responsibility at Equinox Gold Corp., a position they have held since March 2020. Prior to that, they held the role of Vice President of Sustainability at Leagold Mining Corporation from May 2019 to March 2020. Georgina also worked as the Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Manager at Leagold Mining Corporation from April 2017 to May 2019. Before joining Leagold Mining Corporation, Georgina served as the Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, LATAM at Goldcorp from January 2015 to April 2017. Georgina began their career as the Community Development Manager at New Gold - Cerro de San Pedro in July 2012 and held the position until January 2015.

Georgina Blanco Mancilla, PhD, obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Social Policy from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Development Studies at the University of Sussex from 2002 to 2004.
