Glen Gardner

Glen Gardner is Equitable’s Chief Investment Officer and a member of the company’s Operating Committee. He leads the overall investment strategy for Equitable’s General Account, overseeing a diverse portfolio including public and private credit, structured fixed income, real estate debt and alternative assets.

Mr. Gardner also serves as Chair of the Investment Committee for Equitable’s pension and 401(k) plans, overseeing the governance and strategic direction of the company’s retirement programs.

A tenured employee with nearly 40 years at Equitable, Mr. Gardner previously served as Equitable’s Deputy CIO, where he oversaw investment and asset allocation strategies for Equitable’s General Account, in addition to supporting new product design and innovation in partnership with Equitable’s Commercial Business leaders.

Prior to that, he held several key leadership positions with AXA Equitable, where he drove investment performance through various fixed income, public and private credit and private equity investing strategies.

Mr. Gardner graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science in business administration.
