Director, Corporate & Foundation Relations at Equitas Health

Tyler Benack has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Tyler started their career at the Columbus AIDS Task Force, where they worked as the Ohio AIDS/HIV/STD Hotline Coordinator, responsible for managing volunteers, grant writing, marketing, and HIV test counseling. Tyler later took on the role of Youth HIV Prevention Specialist, conducting intervention work targeting youth, with a focus on LGBT-identified individuals.

Tyler then worked as a Constituent Liaison at the Office of Governor Ted Strickland, managing communications and routing them to the appropriate staff members. Tyler also oversaw a team of four Constituent Liaisons and authored reports on constituent contacts.

Tyler then moved on to the United Way of Central Ohio as an Assistant to the President & Special Projects Manager. In this role, they provided strategic assistance to the President/CEO, managed the Executive Office, and oversaw the launch of two new donor groups.

Tyler also worked as the Director of Scheduling for Strickland/Brown for Ohio, where they coordinated outreach and logistics in support of campaign messaging for a Lieutenant Governor candidate. Tyler built a communications infrastructure and cross-functional team for event coordination, community relations, and fundraising.

At JustWrite Solutions, Tyler held two separate Consultant roles. Tyler provided fundraising communications and technical assistance to non-profit organizations, with a primary focus on grant development and state government relations. Tyler managed various business functions, including sales, human resources, financial management, professional development, product development, legal/protection activities, and information technology.

Tyler also worked at Franklin County as the Coordinator of Health Management Programs. Tyler administered employee benefits for the Franklin County Cooperative Health Benefits Program and branded the program's wellness initiative, expanding program offerings in multiple areas.

Most recently, Tyler served as the Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations at Equitas Health (formerly AIDS Resource Center Ohio). Tyler played a crucial role in one of the nation's largest HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ healthcare organizations, managing corporate and foundation relations to support their diverse healthcare and social service delivery system.

Throughout their career, Tyler has demonstrated a strong commitment to community health, advocacy, and nonprofit organizations. Tyler has a comprehensive skill set in fundraising, grant development, strategic planning, program management, and communications.

Tyler Benack attended Bowling Green State University from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a focus on Health Promotion.
