Core Faculty at Equitech Futures

Nikita Kaushal is a highly experienced Earth scientist currently serving as a Lerner-Gray Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Richard Gilder Graduate School at the American Museum of Natural History, focusing on improving hydroclimate projections through a two-year project utilizing speleothem and coral archives. As a Regional Coordinator and Steering Committee Member for the PAGES Past Global Changes initiative since July 2017, Nikita co-leads the development of proxy-based databases addressing climate processes and modeling. Additionally, work as an Associate Faculty member at Equitech Futures involves creating data-product pipelines for start-ups aiming to meet decarbonization and net-zero goals. Previous roles include Stipendiary Lecturer in Earth Sciences at Exeter College, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at ETH Zürich and Nanyang Technological University, and Visiting Researcher at the University of Oxford, all contributing to a robust understanding of the carbon cycle and hydroclimate variability. Nikita holds a DPhil in Earth Sciences from the University of Oxford and has a strong academic foundation in geology.
