Julie A. Huber

EVP, Strategic Initiatives at Equity Bank

Julie Huber has extensive work experience in the banking industry. Julie began their career at Sunflower Bank, where they worked as Vice President of Retail Banking from 1996 to 1999, and then as Vice President of Sales from 1999 to 2002. Julie was responsible for managing retail sales and implementing a centralized customer service call center.

In 2003, Julie joined Equity Bank as Executive Vice President Chief Operations Officer, overseeing compliance efforts, deposit and loan operations, and the human resources department. Julie held this role until 2012, when they became Executive Vice President Chief Risk Officer. In this position, they were responsible for managing risks and governance across all departments of the bank. Julie chaired the Compliance Committee and served on several other committees.

From 2013 to 2017, Julie served as Executive Vice President Chief Credit Officer at Equity Bank, where they led the credit function, including credit policy, administration, and reporting. Julie also handled loan due diligence and integration for merger and acquisition targets.

Julie's most recent role at Equity Bank was as Executive Vice President/Strategic Initiatives, starting in 2017. In this position, they were responsible for merger and acquisition integration, including due diligence, vendor management, data conversion, and process integration. Julie successfully integrated five merger and acquisition transactions within a span of 11 months.

Additionally, Julie briefly served as President and Chairman of Signature Bank from 2009 to 2012.

Julie Huber's education history includes earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration: Management from McPherson College from 1988 to 1992. Julie also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Baker University from 2012 to 2014. In addition, they attended the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking from 2004 to 2006. Furthermore, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in History from McPherson College from 1988 to 1992.
