Rob Binney

Rob Binney serves as the Vice President of Commercial Banking at Equity Bank since April 2025. Prior experience includes roles such as Advocacy Officer at Southern Bank, where responsibilities involved engaging with the Missouri Bankers Association and conducting legislative visits. Binney was also a Senior Vice President at Citizens Bank & Trust before its acquisition by Southern Bank. Additionally, extensive public service includes an eight-year tenure as a City Councilmember for the City of Lee's Summit, where leadership was demonstrated on various committees. Binney's banking career began at Security Bank of Kansas City, progressing through roles that included Loan Processor and Assistant Vice President at Columbian Bank and Trust, after which experience was gained with the FDIC-related asset management assignments. Binney holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and History from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
