Leslie Alvarado

Leslie Alvarado is an experienced engineer and technology leader with a focus on innovative solutions and educational development. Currently serving as Engineer II and Wifi Engineer at Comcast since December 2019, Leslie also co-founded Equity Commons, where the role as Chief Technology Officer involves leveraging technology to mitigate implicit bias through a comprehensive development program. Prior experience includes freelance work as a Virtual Reality Developer and Software Engineer for Davidson College, where Leslie led the creation of a VR experience focused on the perceptions of African Slaves during the Civil War. Additionally, Leslie worked at Tech Talent South as Senior Product Developer and Product and Curriculum Coordinator, directing course design and mentoring students. With a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Davidson College, Leslie combines technical expertise with a strong commitment to education and equity.
