Victoria Shearer has a strong background in education and teaching. Victoria started their career as a PA Ethnic Heritage Studies Center Program Coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh in 2002. Victoria then worked as a Bilingual Teacher (Spanish) for the NYC Department of Education from 2005 to 2010. Following that, they served as a High School Spanish Teacher at Seneca Valley High School from 2010 to 2011. From 2011 to 2016, they worked as an ESL / ELA Teacher at Democracy Prep Public Schools. Currently, they are employed as an ELA Teacher and K-8th Multilingual Learning Coordinator at The Equity Project (TEP) Charter School starting from 2016. Overall, Victoria Shearer brings extensive experience and expertise in teaching and multilingual education.

Victoria Shearer received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Pittsburgh in 2002. In 2004, they completed their Master of Arts degree in Foreign Language Education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Education. From 2005 to 2007, they attended Pace University and obtained a NY State Elementary Education Certification with Bilingual Extension (Spanish) in the field of Elementary Education and Teaching. Currently, Victoria is pursuing a TESOL Advanced Certificate at Mercy College, with their studies in progress since 2014.
