Rachel Sumner

Rachel Sumner is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in workforce transformation, education, and training. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at Talent since November 2020, Rachel is focused on delivering meaningful employment opportunities and transforming workforce skills in Canada. In addition to this role, Rachel holds an investor position at eQuo and operates as Principal Consultant for Rachel Sumner Education & Training Consultancy, managing diverse learning and development projects globally. Previous leadership roles include Regional Partnership Director and Managing Director at Pearson, where Rachel directed significant initiatives in digital learning, as well as positions at Niagara Institute, Dalhousie University, and Coventry University. Rachel’s educational background includes degrees in Social Science, Business Education, and Curriculum, Training and the Future of Work, complemented by a PG Certificate in Executive Coaching and Mentoring.
