Ashley Vonnida

Chief Nursing Officer at Equum Medical

Ashley is the Chief Nursing Officer for Equum Medical. In this role, Ashley leads all nursing, clinical leadership, and quality performance activities across the Equum business and professional services portfolio. VonNida heads Equum Medical’s Virtual Care Collaboration Center in Nashville, TN where clinical teams deliver both the Virtual Nursing and Virtual Sitter services. As CNO, Ashley is an integral part of the clinical leadership team of Equum Medical driving the development of the virtual nursing and sitting portfolios as well as providing thought leadership in this evolving field of hybrid care. Ashley splits her time on strategic telehealth service product development as well as successfully implementing these services in Equum’s growing client base nationally.

Ashley has over 25 years in the Healthcare setting, most recently serving in leadership roles at Community Health Systems and Tenet Healthcare. She has spent her career in the Acute Care setting improving patient outcomes and engaging Nursing to make a difference every day. VonNida has been responsible for leading operations within large medical systems with results including improving employee metrics such as improved satisfaction and reduced turnover, achieving clinical targets such as hospital acquired condition rates and improved throughput, as well as organizational financial initiatives to reduce utilization costs.

Ashley holds both Bachelor and Masters of Nursing Science degrees from Belmont and Chamberlain Universities respectively. She has gone on to integrate her business acumen through an MBA in Health Care Management from the Keller School of Business. VonNida was awarded the Doctorate of Nursing from Chamberlain University most recently to position herself as a Leading Woman in Healthcare with deep knowledge in Executive Leadership and change management.
