Sixto Astete

Sixto Astete is an IT Specialist at the Electronic Recycling Association since July 2023, with a strong background in telecommunications and technical support. Prior experience includes serving as a Field Engineer at Claro Chile S.A. from February 2018 to June 2021, where responsibilities involved maintaining and supporting the power and cooling infrastructure of a major data center. Sixto also held the position of Technical Support Specialist at SONDA from April 2008 to January 2018, overseeing a team that achieved top KPIs and user satisfaction in the southern region. Earlier, Sixto was a Network Administrator at Universidad Tecnológica de Chile, INACAP, from March 2006 to March 2008, focusing on network security and hardware installation. Educational qualifications include a degree in Information Technology, Software Development from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and an Engineer's degree in Computer Engineering from INACAP.
