Eric Boersma

Eric Boersma is a prominent figure in the field of clinical epidemiology and cardiovascular research, holding various esteemed positions at Erasmus MC since 1991, including Chair of the Cardiovascular Institute, Professor of Clinical Epidemiology of Cardiovascular Diseases, and Scientific Director of the cardiovascular research school COEUR. Additionally, Eric serves as a consultant for biostatistics and quantitative methods of clinical research in the Cardiology department, and as a member of the Dutch Medicines Evaluation Board since June 2017. Eric's political engagement includes membership in the council of the municipality of Alblasserdam, a position held since March 2022, and previously from 2006 to 2014. Eric's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine, a Master of Science in Epidemiology, and a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics, all obtained from distinguished institutions such as Erasmus University Rotterdam and Delft University of Technology.
