Hester Lingsma is a professor of public health and the head of the Department of Public Health. They completed their PhD at Erasmus University Rotterdam, focusing on measuring quality of care in acute neurological diseases. Previously, Hester held positions as a post-doctoral researcher and associate professor, contributing significantly to the fields of quality of care assessment, causal inference, and comparative effectiveness research. Currently, Hester serves as the Associate Programme Director for Clinical Research at the Netherlands Institute for Health Sciences.
