Christy Penders

Christy Penders is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Communications Lead at ERCOT since February 2022, Christy has previously held key roles such as Communications Manager at Texas Gas Service from September 2013 to January 2022, and Public Information Officer at the Network of Asian American Organizations from July 2010 to September 2013. Christy's career also includes positions as Director of Marketing at CAS Consulting & Services, Inc., Senior PR Executive at Bernstein & Associates, Community Outreach Coordinator at Moody Gardens Hotel, Spa and Convention Center, and Sports Anchor/Reporter roles at both KXAN-TV and KTXS-TV. Christy began the career in a versatile role at T-Bonz Gill & Grill. Educational qualifications include a B.A. in Communications from the College of Charleston and a Crisis Communication Certification from PRSA.
