Steve Rainwater

Steve Rainwater has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Supervisor of Grid Operations Training Instruction at ERCOT since June 2019, following a role as Senior Training Specialist at the same company. Prior to that, Rainwater held positions including PCC System Operator at PacifiCorp and RC Trainer at Peak Reliability, where responsibilities included developing and facilitating training programs for Reliability Coordinators. Rainwater's earlier experience includes roles as Technical Trainer at Puget Sound Energy and Trainer for Energy Delivery at the Lower Colorado River Authority, where strategic training plans were developed to meet NERC Standards. Rainwater's career began at South Texas Project Nuclear Operating Company, where responsibilities ranged from coordinating refueling activities to operating key plant systems. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Organizational Communication from St. Edward's University and an Associate of Applied Science in Laser Electro-Optics Technology from Texas State Technical College.
