Wayne Callender currently serves as Principal of Demand Response Coordination at ERCOT since June 2025. Prior to this role, Wayne had a lengthy tenure at CPS Energy from March 1994 to May 2025, progressing through various key positions including Managing Principal Research and Innovation, where responsibilities included exploring new technologies for customer needs, and Senior Manager Solar and Storage, overseeing solar and storage assets. Wayne also served as Zero Emissions Resource Manager, managing a portfolio of renewable resources, and held other roles focused on market intelligence and rate design. Wayne holds a Master of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies (Business and Mathematics) and a BBA in Business and Mathematics, both from the University of the Incarnate Word.
