Anko van der Werff

Anko van der Werff currently serves as President & CEO of SAS - Scandinavian Airlines since July 2021 and also holds several key positions, including Member of the Board of Governors for the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since June 2023, Member of the Supervisory Board at Eredivisie CV since March 2024, and Chairman of The Climate Partnership for Aviation since December 2023. Previous roles include CEO of Avianca from July 2019 to April 2021, Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer at Aeromexico from May 2014 to May 2019, and Senior Vice President at Qatar Airways from 2010 to April 2014. Anko van der Werff has a strong background in leadership within the aviation industry and has held various significant positions at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in Sweden. Anko van der Werff holds a Master's degree in Law from Leiden University and a Graduate degree in General Management from Harvard Business School.
