Daniele Castiglia

Daniele Castiglia has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Daniele started their career in 2005 as an Engineer at CIODUE Sud, where they focused on studying fire prevention norms and designing fire systems. In 2006, they worked as an Engineer at Power Project Consulting, and later at COMAU.

In 2007, Daniele joined ERG SpA (ISAB Energy Services) as a Performance Controller, responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting. Daniele also managed consumption and production balances, proposing corrective actions for optimal performance. Daniele remained with ERG SpA until 2011.

From 2011 onwards, Daniele worked at ERG Spa (ERG Power Generation Spa) in various roles within the Energy Management department. Daniele started as an Asset Optimization and Bidding Specialist, focusing on bidding renewable and traditional energy production on market exchanges and optimizing power plant efficiency.

Daniele then moved on to become a Short Term Analysis Specialist, where they managed power production budgets and conducted market analyses for power and gas commodities. Daniele also developed strategies for hedging, auctions, and imports.

In 2014, they became the Head of Production Control and Bidding, responsible for developing bidding strategies, managing public relations with grid managers and market exchanges, and overseeing shift management.

In 2016, Daniele took on the role of Head of Middle Office, where they designed and managed economic models for portfolio production scheduling and developed multi-year business plans. Daniele also provided market analysis and price forecasts to support the Front Office.

Most recently, Daniele served as the Head of Front Office, overseeing energy management and simulation systems, optimizing generation portfolios, and contributing to the company's multi-year business plan.

Throughout their career, Daniele demonstrated strong analytical and strategic skills, as well as expertise in energy management and market analysis.

From 1998 to 2004, Daniele Castiglia attended the Università degli Studi di Palermo, where they pursued a degree in mechanical engineering, successfully graduating during this period.
