Kate Kowalski Mendola

Kate Kowalski Mendola is an experienced professional in grant management and fundraising, currently serving as the Director of Campaigns & Major Gifts and Grant Manager at Erie County Medical Center Corporation since July 2017. In this role, Kate manages grant request efforts and oversees technical grant work for both the hospital and ECMC Foundation, playing a crucial role in FEMA reimbursement efforts during the COVID pandemic. With a strong background in grant writing and consulting, Kate has also worked as a freelance editor and grant writer for Buffalo Editor since August 2010 and held previous positions in various organizations, including Foundation and Corporate Relations Specialist at Gateway-Longview, Grant Writer at the University at Buffalo, and Proposal Coordinator at Ecology and Environment, Inc.
