Jessica R. Brown

Jessica Brown is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Comptroller for the Erie County Water Authority since June 2022. Previously, Jessica held the position of Director of Administration & Finance for the City of Buffalo, where responsibilities included assisting in budget formulation and overseeing fiscal management for federally and state-funded programs. Additionally, Jessica has experience in academia as an Adjunct Faculty member in Accounting at Bryant & Stratton College and served as Chief Financial Officer for the Center for Elder Law & Justice, significantly contributing to the organization’s growth and financial strategy. Jessica holds a Doctor of Law degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting and Financial Analysis from the University at Buffalo School of Management.
