John McGeary

John McGeary is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in law enforcement and investigations. Currently serving as a Senior Investigator at Erie Insurance Group since September 2019, John previously held various roles within the Pennsylvania State Police from November 1994 to September 2019, including Station Commander and Strike Force Supervisor for narcotics operations. In addition to these positions, John served as a Corporal, Patrol Supervisor, Criminal Investigator, and Trooper during tenure with the State Police. John began military service as a Combat Engineer in the United States Army Reserve from September 1992 to October 2000. Educational qualifications include a BA in Telecommunications from Penn State University, further development in police leadership at Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command, and foundational education from Minersville Area High School.
