John Simon

John Simon has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. John started their career at Erie Insurance in 2005 as a Junior Editor and later moved on to positions within United Way of Erie County. At United Way, they served as a Communications Coordinator from 2006 to 2011, then as Director of Marketing & Brand Management from 2011 to 2014, and finally as Assistant Vice President, Investor Relations from 2014 to 2017. In 2017, they returned to Erie Insurance Group as a Communications Consultant, and progressively advanced to become Manager of Public Relations & Crisis Communications in 2020. Most recently, in July 2021, they were appointed as the Director of External & Executive Communications at Erie Insurance Group.

John Simon attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law from 2004 to 2005. Prior to that, they earned their BA in Political Science from Allegheny College, attending from 2000 to 2004. John completed their secondary education at Mercyhurst Preparatory School from 1996 to 2000. Additionally, John has obtained several certifications, including being a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner from Prosci, and various insurance-related certifications from The Institutes.
