Vice President, Life Actuarial, Fp&a And Claims at Erie Insurance

Waylon Peoples has extensive experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on actuarial work. Waylon served as the Vice President of Life Actuarial, FP&A, and Claims at Erie Insurance Group from November 2012 to the present. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the calculation and control environment for $2.5 billion of Life, Annuity, and Medicare Supplement reserves. Additionally, Waylon issued Actuarial Opinion and Memorandum and presented them to the Audit Committee. Waylon also interacted with internal and external audit teams, oversaw actuarial aspects of the PA DOI exam process, and stayed up to date on regulatory changes.

Prior to their role at Erie Insurance Group, Waylon worked as the Vice President of Life Profit Center Finance at AIG American General from July 2006 to November 2012.

Waylon also held the position of Head of Actuarial Student Program at American General Life from July 2004 to July 2006.

Waylon's career in the insurance industry began as an Actuary at American General Life Insurance in May 1999, before transitioning to other roles within the company until July 2006.

Waylon Peoples obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Louisiana Monroe from 1995 to 1999. Waylon then pursued an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin from 2005 to 2007.
