Melissa L.

Melissa L. serves as the local editor for the Erie Times-News in Erie, PA, since February 2022. Prior to this role, Melissa held the position of executive editor at the Tri-County Independent, where management of a publication merger occurred from October 2019 to February 2022. Experience as managing editor was gained from January 2016 to October 2019, overseeing daily and weekly newspapers, and earlier editorial roles included editing the daily Wayne Independent, as well as contributions as a staff writer. Additional experience includes various editorial and writing positions within Wilkes University, along with customer service and clerical roles in retail and university settings. Melissa is a graduate of Wilkes University with a Bachelor’s degree in English Writing and multiple complementary fields of study.
