Deana Spencer

Trustee at Erikson Institute

Deana Spencer is a trustee at the Erikson Institute. Deana previously worked as a board member at Companions Journeying Together, Inc. from 2015 to 2017. Her work there was focused on providing emotional, spiritual, and social support to incarcerated women and men through a variety of programs. These programs included Aunt Mary’s Storybook Project and Mother Love Parenting classes. In their role, they also organized and facilitated special holiday communication projects, provided re-entry materials and referrals, community education/training, and advocacy.

Deana Spencer has a Certificate from the Illinois Directors Credential Program at National Louis University, a Certificate in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from the University of Illinois Chicago, a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communications from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, a Certificate in Educational Leadership and Administration from Triton College, and a Master of Arts in Education in Early Childhood Education and Administration from the University of Phoenix. Deana also has a certificate from the IL. Early Learning Fellows Program at Erikson Institute.
