Abran Kean is the founder of Access Point Maps, where an iOS and Android app was designed and launched to assist flyfishers in accessing public rivers and streams since April 2020. Abran serves as lead patent litigation counsel and is a shareholder at Erise, with a focus on patent litigation in the U.S. Additionally, Abran is an Entrepreneur in Residence at South Dakota Mines since August 2020. Previous experience includes roles as an associate at Shook, Hardy & Bacon from 2006 to 2012, law clerk at Sheridan Ross, and legal internships at Bennington Johnson and the Board of Regents. Technical internships were completed at Ball Aerospace and Motorola, following an educational background with a J.D. from the University of Denver - Sturm College of Law and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from South Dakota Mines.
