Alistair Woodman

Alistair Woodman is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in product management and board leadership. Currently serving as a Board Member for the Erlang Ecosystem Foundation since March 2019 and the Network Device Education Foundation since March 2013, Alistair focuses on open source community development. An independent contractor and consultant since August 2011, Alistair has worked on various projects related to open-source routing and other initiatives. Prior to this, Alistair held multiple senior director roles at Cisco Systems from February 1996 to July 2011, where contributions included business development for high-end routing software and leading VoIP product strategy. Previous experience includes a product management role at Apple Inc. and engineering at Baker Hughes. Alistair's educational background includes advanced degrees from the University of Oxford, Imperial College London, and the University of Hamburg, specializing in fields such as robotics, computer science, and natural philosophy.
