Josh Welch

Josh Welch, PharmD, BCPS, BCGP has a diverse work experience in the field of pharmacy. Starting in 2002, they served as a Medic in the US Army until 2009. In 2012, they worked as a Pharmacist at Target until 2014. Following this, they joined Iredell Memorial Hospital as a Clinical/Staff Pharmacist from 2013 to 2015. In the same year, they also worked as a Clinical Pharmacist at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for a brief period. From 2015 to 2020, Josh held the role of Clinical Pharmacist Specialist-Mental Health at Banner Health. Josh then became the Associate Director, Pharmacy at Banner Health from 2020 to 2023. Currently, they are the Director of Pharmacy at Erlanger starting from 2024.

Josh Welch, PharmD, BCPS, BCGP, has a strong education history in the field of pharmacy and healthcare administration. Josh obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from South University in the years 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from Northwest Missouri State University from 2002 to 2007. Most recently, they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Northern Arizona University-The W. A. Franke College of Business, which will be completed in 2024. Additionally, Josh has earned certifications as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in 2016 and as a Certified Geriatric Pharmacist from the American Society of Consultant Pharmacist in 2014.
