Karen Feltner, RHIA, CHDA, CCS, currently serves as the HIM Inpatient Coding Manager and Senior CDI Auditor Educator at Erlanger Health Systems since May 2015. Previously, Karen was the HIT Program Director and Associate Professor at Roane State Community College from August 2002 to July 2015, overseeing the CAHIIM accredited Health Information Technology program. Karen also held a managerial position at PHP-Cariten Healthcare from May 1994 to July 2002, directing referral processing and working on projects within the Medical Management department. Early career experience includes insurance billing for Drs. Whittington, Vickers, Boyce, and Campbell from February 1986 to April 1994. Educational qualifications include a BA in Health Information Management from The College of St. Scholastica and an AAS in Health Information Technology from Roane State Community College.
