Lara Sanders

Lara Sanders has extensive experience in healthcare management and administration. Lara is currently serving as the Sr. Director of the Cardiovascular Service Line at Erlanger Health System, where they are responsible for providing operational direction and overseeing various cardiology services. Prior to this role, Lara worked as the Administrative Director at The Heart Center of Northeast Georgia Health System. Lara also held positions at Erlanger Health System, including Administrator of the Heart & Lung Institute and Director of Operations and Revenue Cycle for Physician Services. Earlier in their career, Lara gained experience in billing and reimbursement management at Athens Regional Specialty Services and served as the Business Office Supervisor at The University of Georgia. Lara also has experience as an Office Manager at Reddy Medical Group, LLC and as a Project Manager at Athens Area Surgical Associates. Lara's career began in the retail industry, where they worked as a Sales Lead at Victoria's Secret.

Lara Sanders obtained an MBA in Managerial Leadership from Piedmont University in 2010-2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business in 2001-2006. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained the Certified Professional Coder - Instructor qualification from AAPC in December 2019, the FACHE designation from the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2017, and proficiency in Resolute Professional Billing Fundamentals including Single Business Office from Epic in 2016. Lara is also a Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
