Martha Burgett

Martha Burgett has a diverse range of work experience. Martha most recently served as the Director of Risk Management and Staff Attorney at Erlanger Health System since July 2020. Prior to that, they worked as an Attorney at SPEARS MOORE REBMAN & WILLIAMS, PC from January 2018 to July 2020. Martha also worked as an Attorney at Apperson Crump, PLC from August 2015 to January 2018, where they gained experience representing claimants in health care liability and personal injury cases, as well as representing businesses in commercial real estate matters. Martha also served as a Student Attorney at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law Elder Law Health Advocacy Clinic in 2015 and as a Legal Extern for The Honorable S. Thomas Anderson of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee in 2014. In addition, they were a Summer Associate at Butler Snow LLP in 2014 and worked as a Law Clerk to Amy J. Amundsen at Rice, Amundsen & Caperton, PLLC from 2013 to 2014.

Martha Burgett earned a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, General from Mississippi State University from 2008 to 2012. Following that, they pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from The University of Memphis—Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law between 2012 and 2015.
