Bernd Okkels

Bernd Okkels is a seasoned clean energy leader with over 25 years of experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Technical Director at ERM. Previously, Bernd has held various leadership roles in offshore wind and electrical support at DONG Energy, leading significant projects such as the grid connections for Horns Rev 2 and Anholt Offshore Wind Farms. Bernd is noted for founding Ramboll’s Power-to-X competence center and possesses extensive knowledge in flexible power plants and large-scale renewable integration. Bernd earned a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from DTU - Technical University of Denmark.
