Catherine Shea

Catherine Shea is a Geospatial Consultant at ERM since June 2023, bringing experience as a DEVELOP Geospatial Analyst during a remote sensing internship with NASA in the summer of 2022. In this role, Catherine led a study on the application of NASA remote sensing technology for environmental monitoring of Great Slave Lake, which included simulating a 38-year time series of wetland land cover classifications and successfully presenting findings to NASA faculty and partners. Prior experience includes working as a Practicum GIS Analyst at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where Catherine conducted habitat analysis for seabird conservation, and served as an Administrative Assistant and Social Media Coordinator within the university’s residential and environmental initiatives. Catherine holds a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
