Damian Bowen

Damian Bowen is a seasoned toxicologist with extensive experience in regulatory toxicology and genetic toxicology. From November 2004 to May 2007, Damian worked as a Study Manager and Study Director at Huntingdon Life Sciences, focusing on in vitro genetic toxicology assays and adhering to key regulatory standards. Subsequent roles included Study Director at Covance Laboratories Ltd and Toxicology Consultant at ERM, where Damian provided specialized toxicology expertise for agrochemical, biocides, and REACH clients. From January 2016 to June 2019, Damian advanced to Senior Consultant Toxicologist and later Principal Consultant Toxicologist at ERM, interpreting toxicological findings and conducting human risk assessments. Since January 2018, Damian serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of Applied Toxicology. Educational accomplishments include a DPhil in Biochemistry and Intensive Care Medicine from the University of Birmingham, an MSc in Toxicology from the University of Birmingham, and a BSc (hons) in Pharmacology from the University of Sunderland.
