Joeli Plakholm

Joeli Plakholm is a Senior Consultant specializing in Northern mine closure and remediation management. With a multidisciplinary background in geology, GIS, mine closure, and Indigenous relations, Joeli's work focuses on integrating Indigenous histories and community needs into post-closure landscapes throughout Northern Canada. Joeli has held various roles, including Consultant at ERM and Geological Technician at ODM Overburden Drilling Management, while also contributing to projects with Natural Resources Canada. Currently pursuing a Master of Environment degree at Concordia University, Joeli is passionate about fostering collaborative relationships and addressing the complexities of regulatory compliance and Indigenous rights in the field.
