Ero Copper
Joao Zanon is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in project management and engineering. Currently serving as Vice President of Projects at Ero Copper Corp since 2022, Zanon oversees various significant projects, including the development of the Tucumã greenfield copper mine and the Deepening Project at Caraiba’s Operations. Prior to this role, Zanon held the position of Vice President of Projects at Vale from 2010 to 2022, where Zanon managed a capital projects portfolio over $4 billion in the North Atlantic region and led major projects including the Voisey’s Bay Mine Expansion. Zanon’s career also includes roles at Procter & Gamble, where Zanon managed production facilities and led international production line start-ups. Zanon holds an Engineer's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas and a Master's degree in Strategic Planning from Heriot-Watt University, complemented by executive education from Fundação Dom Cabral.
