ErroMed is a patient safety consulting firm whose aim is to make human factors training an integral part of healthcare training everywhere. It is the force behind the Human Error and Patient Safety (HEAPS) program now in its 14th year of implementation. HEAPS is in interactive training package that introduces inter professional healthcare teams to the basic principles of human factors, workplace ergonomics and clinical resource management. HEAPS was designed by frontline clinicians for frontline clinicians and is taught by practising frontline clinicians. The current CEO and Chairman of ErroMed is Stavros Prineas MBBS BSc(Med) FRCA FANZCA.
