Mario Makolm

Mario Makolm is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in banking and project management. Currently serving as the CIO Group Functions Senior Expert and Head of Transformation and Delivery Services at Erste Group Bank AG since January 2017, Mario has held leadership roles focused on transformation and project delivery. Prior roles include Head of CC Business Partner & Project Management and Head of Service Management at UniCredit Bank Austria AG, as well as positions such as Head of Commercial Banking CEE-Wide Initiatives and Senior Project Manager with Unicredit Global Information Services, where responsibilities included overseeing online and mobile banking initiatives in the Central and Eastern Europe region. Mario began the career at Bank Austria in various payment and project management roles. Mario holds a Magister rer.soc.oec. degree in Betriebswirtschaftslehre from WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business).
